Homebase TV have pledged to support the 2020/ 2021 edition of the Women In Sports Association (WISA) Awards which comes off on September 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hard working sports presenter, Emmanuel Bortey aka ‘Capito’ assured WISA of full media support when he hosted the president / founder, Madam Gloria Commodore on his Breakfast Show on Friday.
He commended WISA for maintaining and sustaining the awards programme for the past seven years, and urged corporate Ghana to support women and girls doing sports.
According to Capito, females need to be encouraged and WISA can not do it alone.
He commended the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) for supporting WISA.
Madam Commodore hinted that 48 sports personalities including journalists, coaches, administrators and athletes would be rewarded at the ceremony on September 25, and she thanked Ghandour Cosmetics for backing the initiative to encourage females participating in sports.
Meanwhile, Karim Yawo, a staunch fan of Accra Hearts of Oak has also commended WISA for their vision to motivate females doing sports.
