Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai dedicates WBC Muay Thai victory to all Ghanaians and his team

New WBC Muay Thai Super Middleweight champion, Lawrence Nmai has thanked all fans, family, friends and guests who attended the ‘Unleashing The Titans Return’ event and wished him well at the Labadi Beach Hotel and dedicated the victory to the president and people of Ghana.

Nmai who hails from La in Accra was on top of his game as he ensured he took the belt before his home fans in grand style. He urged Ghanaians to take sports serious and keep the nation clean.

The Vice President of Pro Fighting Factory, Mr. Sammy Heywood Okine described the victory as very good for Ghana and called on the sports authorities to support the least financed sports like boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai which Ghanaians love and capable on winning at the international level.

He said Muay Thai,  kickboxing and tug of war can be added to the African Games events and they will reap medals for the nation.

The entire Pro Fighting Factory congratulated their leader Ghana’s Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai for winning WBC Muay Thai Super Middle weight title in Accra.

Switzerland based Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai aka ‘De Punisher’ on Saturday defeated Emmanuel Shijia of Tanzania through a round one technical knock out to win the WBC Muay Thai Super Middleweight Championship at the Labadi Beach Hotel in La, a suburb of Accra. He was coached by two females from Switzerland. 

Natacha De Almeida of Switzerland also beat Najma Isike from Tanzania to win the PBC Lightweight Female Championship over six rounds. She was coached by Nmai in the historic event.

In other Muay Thai bouts Samuel Plange lost to strong IvorienTano Jeremie, while Felix Kotoka was also beaten by Nigerian  Sodiq Mohammed.

Middleweight Obodai Sai of Ghana won by a TKO against Mrisho Adam from Tanzania in the main boxing event of the night.
