Ghanaian boxer Isaac Dogboe is already scheming up a revengeful comeback fight against Mexican ring warrior Emmanuel Navarrete.

Navarrete, a two-weight world champion, having held the WBO featherweight title since October 2020 and the WBO junior featherweight title from 2018 to July 2020, has already beaten the Accra-born boxer twice.

But, those two heavy losses is not stopping the British-Ghanaian from dreaming of a third fight against Navarrete who has been ranked as the world’s second best active featherweight by renowned boxing ranking outlet BoxRec.

Dogboe is drawing his inspiration from Azumah Nelson – African’s all-time greatest boxer, as he remains unwilling to give up that dream. Azumah, who is a WBO hall of famer, fought Australia’s Jeff Fenech three times though the orthodox boxer won twice unlike Dogboe who has already lost twice against the Mexican.

In a live interview with GhOne Television Dogboe explained why he remains focused on fighting Navarrete for the third time and revealed how he intends to get there.

“Obviously Navarrete is my nemesis like a demon that refuses to go out of your head and has been my toughest opponent since my professional career began,” he explained during the interview.

“Navarrete is one person that before I retire from boxing, I have to fight. It will happen, I’ve moved up to the featherweight division, he’s now the featherweight World Champion so there’s no doubt, it will happen when I become mandatory, he can’t deny me,” he added.
